Bocconi Students Blockchain Association
We are a community of Bocconi students who believe the best way to understand blockchain is to work in it, not just read about it. Since 2017 we have grown into four departments covering markets, research and education, partner projects, and media — giving students of any year and any background a real, hands-on route into Web3: publishing research read outside the university, consulting for blockchain companies, and building products of our own.
Who we are
We take a community-driven approach to blockchain adoption: the fastest way to bring more people into the space is to put students to work in it, not just teach them about it. By consulting for Web3 companies, we give our members real-world experience — the foundation the rest of their knowledge builds on.
What we do
Four kinds of work, each with a visible output. Market publishes a monthly review and a weekly digest on crypto markets, macro and DeFi. Research and Education writes research on non-market blockchain technologies and prepares materials to help members get familiar with blockchain. Projects and Development builds products and does scoped work for partner companies. Media and Communications carries that work outside: the channels, the partners, the speakers and the events.
How a year runs
- September
Recruitment for the autumn semester. Info session, applications, department interviews.
- October – December
Departments work. A digest every week, the monthly review at the start of each month, projects that run to a delivered result, and an aperitivo roughly once a month.
- February
Second recruitment round and new partner projects for the spring.
- March – June
Spring cycle. Delegations to conferences (Paris Blockchain Week, others), hackathons, end-of-year event.
Departments
You apply to one department. Moving between departments is possible after a semester.
Market
Tracks the crypto market and publishes a monthly review and a weekly digest: macro drivers, major tokens, ETF flows, stablecoin regulation, DeFi. The digests feed the Media and Communications department's channels.
